At E3, Game Rant got to go hands-on with Bulletstorm. Right from the beginning it was obvious this was going to be a unique, vulgar, and hilarious experience where finding different, more interesting and complex ways to eliminate enemies will garner more points in the game. Additionally, phrases not usually tolerated in polite conversation will be tossed around with little more reverence than that of a drunken sailor… or dare I say space pirate?
While the ESRB’s content warning for the game (“Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Partial Nudity, Sexual Themes, Strong Language, Use of Alcohol”) is certainly strong, their description goes even further. Below is the complete text of that description. Please note that it contains a significant amount of material that many will find objectionable, and parents will likely find unsuitable for children.
Clearly, this is not going to be a game for the kiddies.
With Gears of War 3 looming, Infinity Blade becoming the highest grossing iOS app of all time, and the first two Gears games about to be released in the Gears of War Ultimate bundle, Epic Games is enjoying quite a bit of success right now. Bulletstorm’s release is still a little under two months away, and the anticipation and excitement for the game only continues to grow. Considering that the Bulletstorm Epic Edition includes of a Gears of War 3 Beta code, it’s hard to imagine this game not selling like hotcakes.
Ranters, what do you think about the ESRB’s description of Bulletstorm? Is the game’s content more extreme than you imagined?
Bulletstorm is scheduled to release Februray 22, 2011, for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
